NHIIS Information for Healthcare Providers

Forms, materials, and information for healthcare providers about the New Hampshire Immunization Information System (NHIIS)

NHIIS is a secure, web-based tool that helps healthcare providers in following ways:

  • NHIIS is available to healthcare providers at no cost.
  • NHIIS can assess patients' immunization needs by recommending missed and future immunization.
  • NHIIS keeps a patient’s consolidated history of immunizations received from multiple healthcare providers.
  • Healthcare providers can create reminder/recall lists of patients past-due for vaccines.
  • Helps healthcare providers to order vaccines, manage inventory, and run reports.

Training Opportunities

Training and resources for providers and staff to successfully manage and operate the NHIIS is provided via several methods: CDC TRAIN; online Learning Management System (LMS); live webinars;  on-site training presentations and user guides within the NHIIS.

Required NHIIS Training for Providers Ordering Vaccines through the NHIP

To gain access to the NHIIS, authorized users must first complete the required training through the CDC’s TRAIN platform. The training is an interactive E-learning course designed to provide effective and detailed instruction on how to use NHIIS.

If you do not already have access to TRAIN, please follow the steps outlined below to create an account. Once you have created your TRAIN account and completed the trainings (“a. Vaccine Ordering & Inventory in the NHIIS: Course # 202102”; and, “b. Patient & Vaccine Information in the NHIIS: Course #202103”), you will be required to pass a post-test and then submit a course evaluation before printing your certificate of completion. Please send your completed certificate to nhiis.support@dhhs.nh.gov with subject line “General NHIIS Training Certificate”.
