Community Collaborations
Community Collaborations funding supports a variety of programs within the Early Childhood, Family, and Community Health Section.
How are the Early Childhood, Family & Community Health Programs funded?
Federal funds from a variety of grants, such as TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families), Social Services Block Grant, and Title IV-E support programs whose primary goals are to:
- Increase coordination across service systems,
- Increase maternal health linkages,
- Increase child developmental screening and linkages,
- Increase positive parenting practices,
- Increase linkages and referrals to community resources and supports
- Provide assistance to families so that children can be cared for in their own homes or in the homes of relatives.
New Hampshire Community Collaborations funding supports a variety of programs such as:
- Family Resource Centers
- Comprehensive Family Support Services
- Kinship Navigation
- Family Connection Center at Department of Corrections
- Training and Quality Improvement for Home Visiting Programs
Community Collaborations to Strength and Preserve Families (CCSPF) Grant
Community Collaborations to Strengthen and Preserve Families (CCSPF) was a 5 year federal grant awarded to New Hampshire in 2018 and ended in June 2024. The federal initiative established an integrated continuum of family supports in New Hampshire, with community-based services such as mental health and substance misuse treatment, economic supports, home visiting, and education programas, to prevent child abuse and neglect and ultimately reduce the number of children entering foster care. New Hampshire Community Collaborations programs include a variety of strategies that promote integrated continuums of family support.
