Resource Limit Increase for FANF recipients

SUMMARY

This Supervisory Release (SR) releases an increase to the resource limit for recipients of FANF Financial assistance.

FORMER POLICY

NEW POLICY

An assistance group’s countable personal and real property resources cannot exceed $1,000 for FANF applicants and $2,000 for FANF recipients. An assistance group’s countable personal and real property resources cannot exceed $1,000 for FANF applicants and $5,000 for FANF recipients.

 

POLICY

The countable resource amount for current recipients of FANF financial assistance has increased from $2,000 to $5,000. The term recipients includes individuals who currently receive FANF financial assistance or have received FANF financial assistance in at least one of the last six months.

The countable resource amount for FANF applicants remains the same and cannot exceed $1,000.

The BFA Fact Sheet will be updated with the release of BFA SR 22-20 July Mass Change for the FANF SON.

IMPLEMENTATION

Policy released in this SR is effective July 1, 2022 for current cases, and will apply to any new cases processed on or after that date.

 

CLIENT NOTIFICATION

No special client notification is planned or needed.

 

TRAINING

No special training is planned or needed, however Training Unit material will need to be updated.

 

DISPOSITION

This SR may be destroyed or deleted after its contents have been noted and the revised manual topics released by this SR have been posted to the On-line Manuals.

 

DISTRIBUTION

This SR will be distributed according to the electronic distribution list for BFA policy releases. This SR, and revised On-Line Manuals, will be available for agency staff in the On-Line Manual Library, and for public access on the Internet at www.dhhs.nh.gov/dfa/publications.htm, effective July 1, 2022.
