303.01 Residence for Eligibility (FAM)

Individuals must be current residents of New Hampshire to be eligible for benefits. They do not need to have lived or intend to live in NH for any length of time.

 

Individuals are not eligible for assistance:

·        when they are only temporarily in New Hampshire (e.g., here on vacation or to enter temporarily into a New Hampshire medical facility); or

·        if they consider another state "home" (for example, by maintaining a principal residence, voter registration, or car registration in another state with an intent to return).
