The purpose of this request is to ensure the Public Health Laboratories has a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA) laboratory director who meets the qualification requirements of Federal Register 42 CRF Part §493.1443 and provides overall management and direction to the Public Health Laboratory.
